Academic Programs

We are committed to academic excellence!

In MI-EL Christian School, we are committed to academic excellence. Our main concern is the whole development of our students through intellectual, social, physical and emotional experiences.

We offer programs in Preschool, Elementary, Middle and High school:

Preschool:
Nido (2 yr old)
Nursery (3yr old)
Pre-Kinder (4 yr old)
Kinder (5 yr old)

The grade Nido is taught in Spanish and total English immersion begins in Nursery (3 years old). The academic program for each grade is based on the evolutionary development of the students, taking into consideration the level of maturity that the students require for each level. It also takes into consideration the different dimensions found in the learning process, such as: cognitive, artistic, spiritual, social, psychomotor.

Elementary:
(1st- 5th grade)
Middle School:
(6th- 8th grade)
High School:
(9th -12th grade)

In Elementary, Middle and High School grade levels materials and resources are used according to each area of knowledge. A variety of activities and strategies are used in order to promote in our students a logical, critical and creative way of thinking that allows them to integrate them into their daily lives.

Our methodology allows students at all grade levels to develop their talents through participation in the various activities that take place in our school: Literary, Cultural and Science fairs, as well as sports and many special events which bring out their own artistic skills.

* The age deadline for each grade must be met before August 28th.

Ambassador Program

  • The Ambassador Program begins in Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade.
  • The program is designed to reinforce courtesy and diplomacy among students.
  • One student per classroom is chosen to be an ambassador each week according to the attendance list.
  • Every time a student is chosen as the ambassador, he/she must wear the special ambassador tag.

Reading Program

Students from Nido through 12th grade, read in the weekly reading program to develop reading habits and foster an environment where knowledge is constructed based on their interests and previous experiences.
