Librarian's Corner

BOOK OF THE MONTH: OCTOBER

This article highlights the importance of parents (especially fathers) reading to their children at bedtime. When you read to your child, you are helping them improve their vocabulary and also developing critical thinking skills.

Fathers have a tendency to ask more abstract questions, which researchers say:

“That is great for children’s language development because they have to use their brains more. It’s more cognitively challenging.”

Take some time today to read to your child!

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” Proverbs 22:6 (NLT)
